Arrive Addis Ababa, be met at the air port and transfer to your hotel lunch in your hotel and afternoon city tour to National Museum, the Menelik Mausoleum, "Merkato", one of the biggest open-air markets in Africa, etc. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Addis Ababa. Day 02: Addis Ababa - Bahir Dar
Early in the morning, drive to Bahir-Dar. En route enjoy the spectacular view of the wooded land mount Entoto, the Selallie plain and the Blue Nile Gorge, one of the beautiful Gorges in the world. Picnic lunch at Dejen town and driving through the farm land of Gojam. Overnight in hotel at Bahr Dar. Day 03: Bahir Dar
After breakfast, drive to the gigantic Blue Nile Falls, locally known as TISS-ISSAT "water that smokes", 35kms far from Bahir Dar town. After 20 minutes pleasant walk, you get to the waterfalls. At the end, drive back to Bahir Dar. Diner and overnight in hotel at Bahr Dar. Day 04: Gondar
After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Gondar. Arrive Gondar and transfer to the hotel. Lunch and in the afternoon city tour of the 17th century town of Gondar with its castle compound. The Town of Gondar was Ethiopian capital after 1632 for about hundred and fifty years. You will also visit one of the beautiful churches "Debre Birhan-Sellassie" very known for its mural paintings as well as drive for a short visit of the visit of the village of the former Ethiopian Jews. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Gondar. Day 05: Senkaber - Geech
Starting early in the morning from Gondar you will be driven through the mountainous country. You stop for an early lunch in the market town of Debark. Then head off to Sankaber where you will pick up the mules and then start the trek. Leaving the camp you descend into the Michotis Valley and climb the other side where on your left you will see the Jin Bahir River plummeting into the Geech Abyss. A couple of kilometers later you descend to cross the Jin Bah cliff and after a steep climb to the other side you reach Geech camp where you will stay overnight.(Approx. 5 hour trek, including breaks). Overnight in camping at Geech Day 06: Geech - Chenek
With an early start the mules will be packed and depart for Chenek whilst you will head with daypacks to the escarpment edge at Saha and Imetgogo(3,926m) for staggering views over the lowlands characterized by its rocky spires. Clinging to the escarpment edge you then trek via undulating terrain towards your camp at Chenek. On the way you will see many examples of the impressive Giant Lobelia and stand a good chance of seeing some Gelada baboons. At the end of today’s trek you descend to the road that leads to camp with it inspiring sunset view of the lowlands. (Approx. 8-9 hour trek). Overnight in camping at Chenek Day 07: Chenek - Ambikowa
The mules will head directly to camp and you have the choice of walking with them or of trekking to the summit of the Simien's second highest peak, Bwahit (4,430m). After refreshments at the summit you will descend steeply towards the village of Chiro Leba where you will have lunch around the local school. Afterwards you continue the descent to the Mesheha River valley (2850m) and up the other side to Ambikwa camp at 3,200m. (Approx. 8-9 hour trek including breaks). Overnight in camping at Ambikowa Day 08: Ambikowa - summit of Ras Dashen -Ambikowa
This is the most challenging day of the trek up to the summit of Ras Dashen. You will trek up to the head of the valley and the village of Mizma where you will get your first view of your imposing goal. To reach it you will contour round a number of steep gullies ascending all the time until you find yourself on a rocky plateau which is dominated by the tree peaks the middle one being the tallest. It is then a relatively easy scramble to the top of one of Africa's highest mountains. After refreshments at the top you will descend by the same route to Ambikwa camp. (Approx. 10-12 hour trek including breaks). Overnight in camping at AmbikowA Day 09: Ambikowa - Chenek
You retrace your steps to Chenek where you will spend your last night under canvas. Time to reset and reflect on your on your achievement. (Approx. 8-9 hour trek). Overnight in camping at Chenek Day 10: Chenek - Gondar
Drive back either to Gondar or Debark The transport will arrive early to take you back to Debark or Gondar and a well earned hot shower and relaxing afternoon which can be spend sightseeing or shopping in the local market or just sleeping! Overnight in hotel at Gondar. Day 11: Gondar - Lalibella
After breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight to Lalibella. Be met at the airport and transfer to the hotel. After lunch you start visiting the first part and the 2nd part of the rock hewn churches of Lalibella, all carved out (inside and outside) of a solid rock and are architecturally unique ranked among the wonders of the world. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Lalibella. Day 12: Lalibella - Axum
After breakfast you will check out from your hotel and be transferred to the airport for your flight to Axum. Your flight time to reach Axum will be 45 minutes. Axum is the first Ethiopian capital where Christianity was introduced to Ethiopia during 4th century. The obelisks of Axum some of them still standing, believed to have been erected during 1st B.C. These huge monuments are carved out of a single granite stone, and have got a weight of up to 500 tones. The St. Mary Church of "Mariam Tsion" where the Ark of the Convenient of Mosses have been rested, the graves and palaces of the kings of the Axumite King "Ezana" of 4th century etc… are some of the attractions to be seen within Axum. Dinner and overnight in hotel at Axum. Day 13: Axum - Addis Ababa
Morning transfer to the airport for your flight back to Addis Ababa. In the afternoon more sight seeing tour of Addis and shopping. Transfer to the airport for your departure. • Based one the above mentioned tour program the total tour package cost for 4-8 paying pax is USD 1599 per person
